Creating an account takes a couple of minutes. This page walks through signup, verification, security options, and what happens with your free trial.
Create your account
Section titled “Create your account”Go to the idea_builder app and click Sign up. Depending on the current signup mode you’ll either create an account immediately or join a waitlist:
- Open signup — you can create your account right away.
- Waitlist — you join the waitlist and we’ll email you an invite when there’s room. Invites are sent from the team’s registered email address; watch for it (and check spam just in case).
After you register, we send a verification email to the address you provided. Click the link in that email to verify it before you can sign in.
Choose your language
Section titled “Choose your language”During onboarding you pick your language — or change it any time later in settings. idea_builder is available in seven languages: English, 简体中文, Español, Français, 日本語, Deutsch, and 한국어.
Add an extra layer of security (optional but recommended)
Section titled “Add an extra layer of security (optional but recommended)”Multi-factor authentication (MFA) protects your account with a second factor beyond your password. You can set it up with:
- An authenticator app (like Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator),
- An email code, or
- An SMS code.
When you enable MFA you’ll also get a set of backup codes — save them somewhere safe. If you ever lose access to your phone or email, backup codes are the way back in.
Voice login (optional)
Section titled “Voice login (optional)”If you’d like, you can enroll your voice as an additional login method. You’ll read a short phrase once or twice while we create a voiceprint, and after that you can verify with your voice when signing in. You can revoke your voice enrollment at any time — for example if you suspect your voiceprint data was compromised.
Your 7-day free trial
Section titled “Your 7-day free trial”New accounts get a 7-day free trial with access to paid-plan features. When the trial ends, your account automatically downgrades to the Free plan — you keep your data and can keep using idea_builder, just with Free-plan limits. You can upgrade to a paid plan any time before or after the trial ends.

What happens to your data if you don’t pay
Section titled “What happens to your data if you don’t pay”Nothing. Downgrading only changes feature limits — your workspaces, ideas, research, and settings all stay exactly where you left them. Upgrade again any time to pick up where you stopped.
