Email sending
Every email idea_builder sends on your behalf — registration verification, password resets, notifications, and invoices — goes out from verified @idea-builder.org sender addresses through a domain-verified sending service. That means the mail arrives with proper authentication (SPF, DKIM, and DMARC), lands in the inbox rather than spam, and always identifies who it is from.
What it does
Section titled “What it does”- Registration and account email — verification links, welcome messages, password resets, and multi-factor codes.
- Notification email — research updates, trial reminders, and activity alerts.
- Invoice email — billing receipts and payment-related messages.
- Fake-door notifications — messages to visitors who capture on your landing pages are sent from a dedicated contact center address.
- One-click unsubscribe on commercial messages, so recipients can opt out easily and stay compliant.
- Automatic fallback — if the primary sending service is ever unavailable, mail is sent through a backup route (the Gmail API, using OAuth authorization) so nothing is lost.
This is built into every feature that sends email — there is no separate email screen to manage.
Prerequisites
Section titled “Prerequisites”- None. Email works for every account on every plan.
Connect
Section titled “Connect”There is nothing for you to configure. The sending domain is verified and the sending services are maintained at the platform level, so your mail is delivered from a trusted brand identity from day one.
Sender addresses you may see:
- registration@idea-builder.org — account and system email
- contactcenter@idea-builder.org — fake-door landing page notifications
- inquiry@idea-builder.org — marketing and inquiry-related mail
Use it
Section titled “Use it”- Receive your account mail. Verification and reset emails arrive within moments of requesting them — check your inbox (and spam, just in case).
- Stay notified. Research completions and trial reminders keep you moving without needing to poll the app.
- Send customer notifications. When a visitor captures on one of your fake-door landing pages, they receive mail from the contact center address — branded, verified, and with an unsubscribe option.
- Get invoices. Billing receipts arrive at your account email after each charge.
Disconnect / troubleshoot
Section titled “Disconnect / troubleshoot”- No connection to manage — email sending is platform-managed; you cannot disconnect it, and you do not need to.
- Mail is not arriving. First check spam or promotions folders. If it is still missing, verify your account email address is correct in settings. The team can check delivery logs if a message is genuinely lost.
- You want to stop commercial email. Use the one-click unsubscribe link in any commercial message — your preference is respected immediately, while essential account mail (like password resets) continues by necessity.
- Delivery is temporarily degraded. The automatic fallback route keeps messages moving even if the primary sending service is down.
