idea_builder is billed monthly. Every new account starts with a 7-day free trial on the paid tier of your choice — no credit card required to explore. Prices are in USD.

What each tier is for

• Free — explore the platform: create up to 3 ideas, run basic research, and see what the validation pipeline looks like before committing.
• Starter ($29) — for your first serious validation: more ideas, the core research phases, AI reports, surveys, and one fake-door page.
• Pro ($79) — the full toolkit: all research phases, equity design tools, trademark search, PDF export, and 5 fake-door pages. This is the tier most founders settle into for a full validation.
• Team ($199) — for multiple workspaces and bigger operations: 10 workspaces, 250 ideas, 20 fake-door pages, and API access.

The 7-day free trial

When you sign up you get a 7-day free trial. During the trial you have access to paid-tier features. When the trial ends:

• You’re automatically moved to the Free plan unless you’ve upgraded.
• Any data you created stays yours — you just drop to the Free tier’s limits.
• You can upgrade at any time from the billing page.

Upgrades, downgrades and cancellation

• Upgrade — takes effect immediately; you’re billed the prorated difference for the remainder of the billing cycle.
• Downgrade — takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep paid-tier access until then.
• Cancel — cancels the next renewal. Access continues until the end of the period you’ve paid for. See the refund policy.

Billing & invoices

Subscriptions are managed through Stripe (card payments). You can view invoices, update your payment method, and manage your subscription in the Stripe customer portal from the billing page in the app.
