Integrations overview
idea_builder is built to plug into the tools you already use — and a few specialist services that make validation faster. This section covers every integration that is currently available in the product, what each one powers, and how to connect it.
The list below is the complete, current set of integrations. As new ones ship, they will appear here — anything not listed is not yet available.
How connections work
Section titled “How connections work”Most integrations fall into one of three groups:
- You connect your own account. The clearest example is Google Sheets: you authorize idea_builder against your Google account, and only your data is touched. These use secure, permission-based authorization in your browser — idea_builder never sees your password.
- Connected at the platform level. Some integrations (SurveyMonkey delivery, patent and trademark data, voice services, email sending) are maintained by the idea_builder team behind the scenes, so there is nothing for you to configure — the integration simply works inside the product.
- You paste in a link. For payment capture on landing pages (Stripe Payment Links and Lemon Squeezy checkouts), you create a checkout link in your own account and paste it into the landing page builder.
Where integrated data appears
Section titled “Where integrated data appears”Integrated data lands exactly where you would expect:
- Survey responses appear in Validate → Surveys → Analyze, with live analytics and CSV export.
- Synced spreadsheet data lives in your Google Sheets workbook, organized by workspace, with ideas, scores, and research on their own tabs.
- Patent and trademark results appear inside the idea’s Toolkits section.
- Fake-door payments show up in the Fake-door tests dashboard as payment events.
What if a live source is unavailable?
Section titled “What if a live source is unavailable?”Sometimes an external service is down, slow, or unreachable. idea_builder handles this gracefully: the feature keeps working with simulated data, and any result that is not from a live source is clearly labeled as simulated so you are never misled about where the information came from. The moment the live source recovers, results return to real data.
