Refund policy

Effective: 2026-08-09 · Version: 2026-08-09-v1

This page summarizes how refunds work on idea_builder. It is part of the Terms of Service.

Scenario Treatment
First subscription, cancelled within 14 days of first payment Full refund
Cancel during a renewal period (already renewed) No refund — access continues until the paid period ends
Cancel mid-cycle after the 14-day window No automatic refund; pro-rated refund available case-by-case
Service unusable / technical failure on our side Full or pro-rated refund of the unused portion, always
Prepaid annual periods Non-refundable except where required by law or on our-side failure

If this is your first subscription and you cancel within 14 days of your first payment, you receive a full refund. This is a goodwill window to let you try the product risk-free. It applies once, to the first purchase only.

Subscriptions auto-renew. If you cancel during a renewal period — after the subscription has already renewed — there is no refund, and your access continues until the end of the paid period you’ve already been charged for. You can cancel at any time; cancellation simply stops the next renewal.

After the 14-day window, cancelling mid-cycle does not trigger an automatic refund. A pro-rated refund of the unused portion may be granted on a case-by-case basis — for example, if you explain a change in circumstances to our support team. Decisions are made fairly and in good faith.

If the service is unusable or fails for a technical reason on our side, you are always entitled to a full or pro-rated refund of the unused portion of your subscription. Tell us what happened via the in-app support assistant or a support request, and we’ll make it right.

Annual prepaid periods are non-refundable except where required by law or where the failure is on our side.

  1. Open the support assistant in the app, or use the support request form (getting help).
  2. Tell us your account email, which plan you’re on, and what happened.
  3. We’ll review and respond — refunds are processed to the original payment method.

Before filing a chargeback with your bank or payment provider, please contact us first — we’ll work with you to resolve the issue. Our stated refund policy above is designed to be fair, and most disputes are avoidable.
