Refund policy
Refund policy
Section titled “Refund policy”Effective: 2026-08-09 · Version: 2026-08-09-v1
This page summarizes how refunds work on idea_builder. It is part of the Terms of Service.
In short
Section titled “In short”| Scenario | Treatment |
|---|---|
| First subscription, cancelled within 14 days of first payment | Full refund |
| Cancel during a renewal period (already renewed) | No refund — access continues until the paid period ends |
| Cancel mid-cycle after the 14-day window | No automatic refund; pro-rated refund available case-by-case |
| Service unusable / technical failure on our side | Full or pro-rated refund of the unused portion, always |
| Prepaid annual periods | Non-refundable except where required by law or on our-side failure |
The 14-day first-purchase window
Section titled “The 14-day first-purchase window”If this is your first subscription and you cancel within 14 days of your first payment, you receive a full refund. This is a goodwill window to let you try the product risk-free. It applies once, to the first purchase only.
Renewals
Section titled “Renewals”Subscriptions auto-renew. If you cancel during a renewal period — after the subscription has already renewed — there is no refund, and your access continues until the end of the paid period you’ve already been charged for. You can cancel at any time; cancellation simply stops the next renewal.
Mid-cycle cancellation
Section titled “Mid-cycle cancellation”After the 14-day window, cancelling mid-cycle does not trigger an automatic refund. A pro-rated refund of the unused portion may be granted on a case-by-case basis — for example, if you explain a change in circumstances to our support team. Decisions are made fairly and in good faith.
Service failure
Section titled “Service failure”If the service is unusable or fails for a technical reason on our side, you are always entitled to a full or pro-rated refund of the unused portion of your subscription. Tell us what happened via the in-app support assistant or a support request, and we’ll make it right.
Prepaid annual plans
Section titled “Prepaid annual plans”Annual prepaid periods are non-refundable except where required by law or where the failure is on our side.
How to request a refund
Section titled “How to request a refund”- Open the support assistant in the app, or use the support request form (getting help).
- Tell us your account email, which plan you’re on, and what happened.
- We’ll review and respond — refunds are processed to the original payment method.
Chargebacks
Section titled “Chargebacks”Before filing a chargeback with your bank or payment provider, please contact us first — we’ll work with you to resolve the issue. Our stated refund policy above is designed to be fair, and most disputes are avoidable.
